Spiral Club hold weekly morning teas each Thursday along with social activities, talks, outings, picnics and transportation for senior citizens in the Woden Valley.

Uniting run a Healthy Living for Seniors program for older people to help individuals stay involved with friends and the community. The program includes outings and excursions, exercise and fitness, skills-building, interest groups, arts and crafts, and cultural groups. Transport to Health Living for Seniors activities can also be arranged.

The North Belconnen Day Centre (NBDC) meet in the Sunroom at North Belconnen Uniting Church in Melba with specially designed facilities for the Centre, including a well-equipped kitchen and disabled toilet.

They run a range of engaging mental, social and physical activities including:

• Exercises
• Ball games
• Crafts
• Bingo
• Music
• Outings to a variety of places

Transport to and from the Centre is also available.

Belconnen Community Service (BCS) Community Transport is an ACT wide door-to-door transport service with a focus on promoting participants’ independence and community involvement. The service is available for people who are ageing, recovering from a medical condition or living with disability, and who live independently in the community (carers of participants may also use the service).

BCS Community Transport run two services:

• Community Cars, which runs 7 days per week from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and provides transport to medical and paramedical appointments, shopping trips and social and recreational activities
• Community Bus, which operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and focuses on transport for group outings and social and recreational activities
