Northside Community Service (NCS) are a community-based, non-profit organisation established to provide and develop support and services for residents of North Canberra.
Service Description
Northside Community Service (NCS) run ‘ConnXtions’, a training and job readiness program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders which provides opportunities for people to study, increase their skills or embark on a new career path.
The program includes:
- Accredited training in Community Services (Cert III)
- Wraparound support to assist families
- Onsite activities and supervision for children during training
- Work experience and mentoring
- Transport to and from training
- Job readiness support and mentoring
