Belconnen Community Service - Gym and Fitness Program
Belconnen Community Service (BCS) Gym and Fitness program offer a variety of publicly accessible classes for people for people of all fitness levels and abilities, with many classes specifically tailored to suit mature participants hoping to maintain and improve their fitness in later life.
BCS Gym and Fitness classes include:
- Mature Strength (Machine), a class designed to improve fitness and functional strength for daily activities with both machine exercises and basic free weight exercises
- Mature Fitness (No Machines), a class for more mature participants to improve strength, balance and coordination to assist with everyday activities
- Multiple Sclerosis: Be Better Balanced, a program designed specifically for people with Multiple Sclerosis to maintain and improve strength and balance
- Backs in Balance: Staying active and on your feet, a health promotion program with a focus on falls prevention (it may also assist with recovery)
- Mature Multi Fitness, a low impact cardio, strength-based gym class
