Do you have a chronic health condition lasting six months or longer?

This free course is being conducted by ACT Health. Carers & friends of people with chronic conditions are encouraged to attend the course.

The course for six consecutive weeks, 2.5 hours per week.

The course includes topics such as symptom management, including pain, fatigue, anxiety, depression, shortness of breath & dealing with negative emotions. Other sessions include communicating with health providers, physical activity, healthy eating, action planning, problem solving and peer support.

At Tidy Temple Yoga we teach a variety of yoga styles.  Our primary focus from 2016 are vinyasa based “Yoga Flow” inspired by the Baptiste Yoga methodology of self leadership and empowerment and “YogaBasics” – both stemming from the traditions of Iyengar yoga and Ashtanga yoga. We offer a total class experience incorporating physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation (pratyahara, dharana, dhyana), relaxation (savasana, yoga nidra) & philosophy. We aim to connect with people, build community and teach from intuition and authenticity.

At Lucas Studios we offer the whole gambit of Pilates options in Small Group classes or One on One private sessions:

Stretch and Relax 

Stretch & Relax is a Dynamic Stretch class with flowing movement, targeting all those tight spots including neck, shoulders, back, glutes, hamstrings and calves.

Often we complete the class with a meditative relaxation segment so you leave feeling released and calm.

Vinyasa Yoga 

Vinyasa is sequential movement interlinking postures to form a continuous flow.

It creates a movement meditation that reveals all forms as being impermanent and for this reason are not held on to. A flowing, dynamic form of yoga, connected to breath.

Body Intelligence provides personalised studio sessions tailored to your body. These private or semi private sessions offer a higher level of individual attention and can be extremely helpful if you are rehabilitating from injury or have a specific goal.  

MATWORK GROUP CLASSES

Group Classes offer a place for a whole body workout, focusing on firing up your core and working all of your muscles. Mat based Pilates is a gentle, low impact exercise but a serious strength workout.
