DIETITIAN

Mariame Iraki is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia and qualified pharmacist with 15 years' experience. She is passionate about assisting her patients to improve their health and quality of life.

Mariame has a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics combined with a Doctorate of Pharmacy and speaks several languages, including English, French and Arabic. She is committed to providing clinical dietetics consultancy with professionalism and compassion considering each patient's individual goals, culture, personal values, lifestyle, education and readiness for change.

She is qualified to provide specialised dietary consultancy for a range of conditions including cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, weight management, nutrition support, renal nutrition, osteoporosis and other conditions or issues requiring dietary or nutrition assistance.

EXERCISE PYSIOLOGIST

Charan Walia graduated with distinction from University of Western Australia (School of Human Movement) after completing his Bachelor in Sport Science at Edith Cowan University. He then went on to complete a post-graduate Diploma from the College of Craniosacral Therapy in the UK.

Practising as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a combination of both clinical and non clinical experience over the past 8 years Charan has performed at elite level sport having been a representative at several world championships as well as the Commonwealth Games. Charan's experience includes working as an Exercise Physiologist for the Kenyan National Olympic Team.

Charan's most recent role has been in Pain Management over the past 5 years working in Garran, Canberra. After missing out on the 2002 Commonwealth Games due to an ankle injury Charan has experienced on a personal level the effect injury has on one's life, and more importantly what is required to overcome it, as well as various clinical roles, the most recent in Pain Management.
