Horizon Occupational Therapy Services specialise in enabling clients to increase physical, psychological and social independence at home and at work, through engagement in meaningful activities. Services include home modifications, ergonomic workstation assessment, mental health occupational therapy (Anxiety in children and adults related to activities of daily living, hoarding, sleeping difficulty, poor organisation in daily routines).
Service Description

Home Modifications

Following an injury or illess a client may find that they are no longer able to complete certain tasks at home that they previously completed independently. This can place a heavy burden on family members and reduce a client's self esteem and mental state. Horizon Therapy Services can complete a home assessment and task analysis to find alternative methods of completing tasks independently. This is achieved through educating clients on alternative strategies, modifying the home environment or introducing aids and equipment to help in the independent completion of meaningful home activities.

Ergonomic Workstation Assessment

Uncomfortable whilst sitting for long periods of time at your workstation? Is a previous injury or pre existing medical condition making working in an office environment difficult? Horizon Therapy services are able to complete workstation ergonomic assessments to reduce the risk of workplace injuries and to modify workstations to take into consideration a pre existing medical condition. We have different types of workstation assessment packages to suit your budget and needs.
